Lyons,Ga Rail Traffic

Going to be spending a few days next month near Lyons,Ga and was wondering what rail line runs through there and what else there might be to see,Also how far is Folkston from there and whats going on there this time of the year,Thanks in Advance and HAPPY NEW YEAR  Everybody

Folkston is a straight shot down US 1 from Lyons. Mostly four-lane. 2 hours.

Georgia Central Railway has its headquarters and engine house in Lyons, east of downtown.  According to Goggle Maps, address is 186 Winge Road.  US 1 runs through Lyons and taking it south would lead to Waycross and Folkston.
