1. & 2. This morning NS 205 is southbound twisting through Schenevus, NY with NS 7648, 9221 and 1002. The bridge crosses the Schenevus Creek and it was once double track.

3. A short time later Train 30T is fighting the battle of Richmondville Hill with NS 1005, 6951 and 9089. The 6951, an SD60E is a bit unusual here on the D&H and started life in September 1986 as CNW 8032. It obviously is having some combustion issues seen here smoking like it was one of the old D&H U33C's. Also unusual was the brief burst of sun ! The most seen all day.

30T's lead unit at West Richmondville as seen in roster format. The NS 1005 is an SD70ACe built in February 2011.

HPJX 52208 with aluminum ingots on Train 30T from Canada.

Also on 30T, UNPX 127262 a Sodium Chloride car. I can't think I have seen many cars like this one.

Later in the afternoon we find 11R at Afton, NY  in behind the 30T waiting for the erstwhile 16R to come north from Binghamton.
Power on the 11R is NS 9832, 9185 and 9676. It's dark and gloomy and about time to go home.

Being a bit stubborn 16R is detected at 4:47pm coming through Otego, NY. There is little doubt the 1866 built depot is on short time and 16R is the only "daytime" train through today northbound so a record is made while the depot is still standing. NS 1842 is the leader with 2 other units as the train passes in the last light of the day towards Oneonta to drop cars for Lutz Feed and later on to work Delanson before tying up at Mechanicville.
