GEXR's Ex SP SD45T-2 "Restored" Back To SP
Author: Ohiorailfan

Goderich and Exeter SD45T-2 #3054 was transfered to the BPRR sometime last year. The unit at the time was still in a ratty patch that GW had placed and before that was on the IORY as CEFX 9392. Recently the unit got a facelift and now on one side is in full SP. We caught the unit leading the RIBT on Friday. I do not know who painted it nor do I care. Enjoy!

A few shots around Punxy

I just have to ask out of curiousity - you're saying they only painted one side in SP; what's on the other side, G&W scheme?

I'm not trying to be a smart-ass but am truly curious based on what you wrote.

The other side is just patched. Gray paint over the SP lettering

Ah, thank you for clearing that up.

Oh, any idea what that small exhaust pipe is that is sticking out the side of the radiator section is for?

Agree, eleven photos of the fireman's side with a note that the other side is painted  . . . . . . . .  differently and not a single photo of it. Everyone wants to know whats on the other side.

Might I incquire on how you pulled off the shot over the Allegheny? Did you stop along one of the riverside roads to photograph or is that a drone shot?
