21E's headlamps illminatesthe curve approaching Perkiomen Junction. 63W rolls west through the remaining morning mist. 14G heads east towards Abrams with six autoracks in it's train. Rare to see any autoracks past 24.5. Date: 01/15/20 07:15 Re: Busy morning at the Junction Author: VFPNSFAN Date: 01/15/20 07:20 Re: Busy morning at the Junction Author: VFPNSFAN 21E-video

H44 is a turn job that runs Allentown-Abrams-Allentown daily. Yesterday it had four tank cars, so today's is pretty long. H44 usually runs 10-25 cars. Not unusual for H44 to run light on the westward leg of turn. 14G is Enola-Morrisville. It varies as well. Average is 20-40 cars. Pre-PSR, 14G was Conway-Camden(if memory serves), it was much longer then. 1-2 miles of train, possibly with DPU. 20Q varies by day. Today was VERY short. Usually it provides about two minutes of video at 40MPH, which I estimate an average train lengt of 8000 feet. Based on comments by NS employees on my Facebook group, 20Q may be on the chopping block(PSR). It may be combined with 26E, another intermodal that usually runs past MP 24.5 earlier in the morning. 4-6am range on average. Date: 01/15/20 12:18 Re: Busy morning at the Junction Author: Gonut1 There used to be an autorack pair in Conrail days, ML10 and ML11 if I recall right. Each at least a mile long. I watched them pass each other at Abrams once, interesting.
They originated and terminated in North Jersey using the Morrisville Line and connector to the ex-Reading Trenton line. NS opened up the Pattenburg Tunnel on the Lehigh Line and they along with a bunch of stack trains were rerouted straight across NJ. Thanks fro the posts! I recall going by many times seeing the racks unloaded and the truck transports being loaded up. Memories....... Rich Date: 01/16/20 14:34 Re: Busy morning at the Junction Author: LV95032 That's been gone a long time. Out grew the limited space and built the larger Twin Oaks facitlity located on CSX in Delaware county in early Conrail.
