To me.....that black & white color scheme just doesn't fit in with the green and yellow (Reading) colors, or the sets of red and blue coaches... IMHO.

Does anybody know if the B unit has been repainted?  Haven't seen nor heard anything lately.

Yes, the  B  unit is repainted and currently now at Reading Outer Station.

Does R&N have another A unit to create a classic A-B-A configuration?

They have the 2 that were retrieved from Winslow Jct.,NJ in early 2017 in bad shape.
1st pic is the pair in June, 2018 in the Port Clinton dead line.
2nd pic is of one parked closest to the Port Clinton engine shop last September.
Apparently plans are to use parts from one to fix the other to make a A-B-A set.

Not in as bad shape as might look from outward pictures. Both are complete locomotives and neither one had any failed major components when they were last used. They have 24RL brake which the R&N wants to change to 26 and there are electrical wiring and some piping issues which may have missing sections thanks to metal vandals. The rest is cosmetic body work. Nothing a good shop can't handle.
