CSX received GE C36-7 7119 (ex-Conrail 6629) with the takeover. Here, a mechanic is climbing aboard to try and get it running.

It's already got the white cab roof treatment, but don't think it's going to get a YN2 or any other paint job.

Wonder what NS and CSX thought of their Conrail "inheritance"?

The 6629 at Oak Island yard 16 years previous.

Still a nice-looking locomotive.  I always liked the clean lines of the six-axle C-series.

Far as I  knew,    7123,was  the only unit not to get the white roof.   Only one,    7138 made it to CSX YN2 paint.
