D&H Up the Susquehanna Valley
Author: train1275

1. The old reliable (sorry and apologies to L&N fans) NS Train 16R on the D&H is caught by the lens here at Bainbridge, NY passing the former depot and the Bainbridge Fire Department. The fire department and much of this area, excluding the depot was wiped out in a catastrophic wreck in January 1966 - 54 years ago. Detours were made via the EL Utica Branch and the NYC RR. But today is all normal and peaceful as the train passes through town and heads to Oneonta and points northeast.

2. A going away shot at Bainbridge

3. 16R arriving in Oneonta against a fiery setted sun sky.

Number 3 is very nice!  Thanks for posting.  As an upstate ex-pat (my ancestors are listening to the action from the cemetery north of the track in Otego) I continue to enjoy the ongoing images and info you provide.
