Dreary Day out on the D&H
Author: train1275

January 25, 2020

A just plain YUCK day.

1. NS 4060 leads the doublestack train 205 south through the Leonard Road swamp area near Maryland, NY
2. NS 1839 is the leader on 11R seen at White House Crossing north of Schenevus, NY
3. And a going away through the high hills of the Schenevus Creek Valley

Up the line at Raven Road, Richmondville the 30T is struggling up the hill and the sound is heard for many minutes before the train appears.

Finally around the bend it comes - this is about 1 pm and the light looks like evening. Yuck

The big dogs come up close roaring away grinding up the grade.

NS 9317 and 9747 on their way to the top of Richmondville Hill with Train 30T.

And as this is the last train of the day except for 16R coming out of Binghamton later in the afternoon it's a wrap with the poor weather and lighting.
