Wreck at Bound Brook-Follow Up

Despite the weather not being the best, I decided to see what progress was made on the clean up regarding NS 63V in Bound Brook (NJ) on Friday morning around 9 AM. It looks as though workers are still re-railing some of the cars and that a stretch of track in front of the first trash car will be replaced.

At approximately 6 a.m. EST Thursday, Feb. 6, Norfolk Southern experienced a mainline derailment in Bound Brook, New Jersey, approximately 30 miles west of Newark, New Jersey.Currently the route to and from north New Jersey, including Croxton and the Ports of New York, has restored service to one of the two mainlines. Norfolk Southern is in the process of restoring the second mainline and will update as conditions change.Customers with traffic moving through this area should anticipate a delay of 24 to 48 hours.
