At the end of December 2019, I took several days off from work to have time with the kids during their break from school.  Unfortunately, the weather was two straight days of overcast skies, with heavy mist/light rain my daughter wasn't feeling well.  On Monday, December 30th, my son and I went to Port Reading, NJ in hopes of seeing a CSX ethanol train with KCS power.  There was no sign of said train and all was quiet around that area.  My son had learned that the Coke wrap engine was going to be on a train out of New York, so we decided to head to Metuchen to catch it and had hopes for seeing the Conrail freight out of Metuchen.  That decision paid off with us seeing both the Coke wrap engine and the ME-2.  Here are a few photos of the ME-2.

1.  Shoving east on track two.  I still enjoy seeing cabooses on trains, but this one has really been tagged.
2.  The engine, CSX GP40-2 4451, a former Conrail engine
3.  After a short wait, they got clearance to proceed west as a New York bound NJT train leaves the station

I had another video of the train heading west, but the vibrations from the train wreaked havoc on my cell phone's video recording.  Despite the damp and wet weather, our time in Metuchen paid off with what we wanted to see there.  Hope you enjoy!

Nice action with the crossover move and passenger train, and neat to see that geep on the Corridor.  Good photos even with the crappy weather.

CSXT 4451 worked at Conrail's Pavonia Yard for many years.

Atlas has made one as well.  I just picked it up at the Amherst (Mass.) train show last month.  Not a Master Line run, but I am still very happy with it.  Not sure of the year, but its the box that has the flaps that fold into the side and came with both knuckle and horn hook couplers. 

so the question remains....

where can i go to see Conrail Locomotives still running with original paint schemes?

someone in here posted two of them that work on a smaller railroad down south,

however i cannot seem to remember the model of the locomotive or the name of the smaller railroad that has them.

any help would be great because i would like to shoot them before they get retired.
