Do any road trains work at Willard anymore, or is it mainly locals now?

I wonder when the CSXT downsizing will stop. It seems like every week there are layoffs, facilities closing, etc.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Guyus
Well the economy is going strong and manufactures are wanting to ship but the buttholes hedgefund PSR people that took
over dont want any car loading and no traffic ,only money to fill there stock pocket and destroy everything and everybody and this
is also taking its toll on the manufactures

Tom is 100% right.  Customers can't get cars, get crappy service, or CSX corporate doesn't want to deal with them.  Yet cars are stored all over.   When you have people like "Boom Boom" Boychuck as the VP of Operations, this is what you get.   CN and CP are still catching up with the destruction that HH and his group did with PSR.

So are CN and CP not doing PSR anymore?

They are but somewhat more measured.   Lots of maintenance catch up and customer/employee relationships had to be mended to this day.    They both went into customer growth to increase profits instead of cost cutting.

I don't know why shippers don't buy a seat at the table. They saw this at CN and CP, so why did they think CSX would be different? Why aren't they burning up the phones to Congress?

Let hope they keep everything intact, so when they have to reopen it when they realize PSR is a failure.

Yes, but still doing PSR.  I was under the impression the advertised result of going through the shakeup was coming out and being able to go after traffic in a more efficient way.  If traffic is increasing and they are still doing PSR maybe it was successful.

"It" isn't out patient surgery, "It"  is going to take a while to shake out with the possibility of a long recovery
period. CP/CN have what, five years of experience, CSX is really just starting.

So if PSR was an utter failure why are they still doing it, whether you call it PSR or PSR-lite.   Why not ash-heap it like all the other re-invent the wheel managment initiatives?   Or are you saying it was done wrong?

Yes it is just running disciplined railroad and then operations become more efficient and need to be right sized. Nobody talks about the small yards that were reopened to fit the PSR model.

Everyone talsk about the more efficient railroad BUT that's not what this is all about, the purpose is to service shippers and attract
more business. It's wonderful that you've got the most efficient railroad but how'se it doing now that your prize shippers have left
you because your service sucks! I klnow that theoretically this all translates into schedfuled deliveries but other than the few
customers who fit that model, it doesn't work. MIght be great if your only business was IM yard to IM yard but that can change
too.
