Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS 34A w/Reading HU LeaderDate: 02/15/20 11:01 NS 34A w/Reading HU Leader Author: globalethanol After getting a tip on Friday from my buddy "perklocal" that the NS 10K was headed for Allentown with the 1067 in the DPU position, I figured there would be a chance it could head back west on Staurday. Turns out it was on on the lead of 34A (Allentown to Conway). I turned on the scanner Saturday morning and no sooner heard "3 step NS 1067 34A" doubling at Allentown. 34A at Emmaus, Pa. MP. 29 on the Reading Line

Those are the stacks that use to go on 37T to Buffalo. They now go the long way via Bellevue. Because I caught a quick glimpse of only the "Bee Line" logo on the side, 3rd unit in, on the head end of a BNSF eastbound stack train, here in Riverside, quite a few months ago. At first I thought: "Wow, that must be an old lease unit from somewhere!" especially since it was pretty weathered looking, but then I Googled Bee Line Service, and found out it is a NS heritage unit. Nice Video, and congrats on VOTD, especially cool since it's running on ex Reading line! Jim Baker Riverside, CA Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 02/16/20 13:36 by RailRat.
