Benefit of being at a different fire station is better scanner reception.... heard the BF dispatcher give her "West on 1 when the BB sends you around" told me something was coming west out of Cumberland, MD. Further traffic between BF and the train crew about having a taxi meet them in Grafton, WV to bring the crew back to Cumberland gave me the heads up that is was W001-25.

Apologize for the crappy weather shots... but that's my luck... good train, bad weather.

1) & 2) - W001-25 westbound at 21st. Bridge Rd., MD.

Thanks as always Tim for your coverage of CSX in the Cumberland area.  I wonder where CSX got that baggage car in the consist?  I do not remember ever seeing it before on a CSX office car train.

I was thinking the same thing, I never saw it before either.

Don't know it's provenance but I belive we use it as a power car.

John:  Track Geometry train. An office car train would likely draw a P-XXX symbol.

The first car does appear to be a power car but that is interesting as the second car at least WAS a power car/galley/lunch room that has been paired with the Geometry Car since Chessie days.  It's possible the generator in the second car finally gave up the ghost and it was felt easier to start from scratch with a new one, but that is just speculation.
