Amtrak derailment in Florida?
Author: joeygooganelli

I’ve seen cursory reports of an Amtrak train derailed near Deland, FL. Any one have any info?

One of the auto trains. Can't tell if any superliners derailed, but some autoracks definitely did.

I live just north of DeLand, but radio has beee silent.  Video showed road next to tracks.  Only place that occurs is with Beresford Road about a mile south of station.

Will making be very interested to see what the cause of the derailement to lay over those auto carriers like that.  Putting 300 plus people between Florida and Virginia for 24 hours or so should be called the Corona Express.  Making that judgement from closed down Houston.
