In August of 2011, I rode the Adirondack to Montreal, spent a few days in Montreal and Toronto each. The railfanning pictures that I took in Quebec and Ontario will all be posted in the Canadian Discussions. I will start with the pictures from the Adirondack Trip.
1. At ALB, Amtrak Adirondack Train # 69 is undergoing its engine change to P42 # 90 which will be the power for the rest of the way along the Northway and Lake Champlain up to Montreal.

Heading back home from Toronto on Amtrak Train # 64 a day earlier than originally planned because of a significant rainfall from Hurricane Irene in 2011, I took these pictures.

2. P42 # 60 on the point of Amtrak Train # 64 at Syracuse Station. This engine will be taken off the train at ALB and replaced with a dual mode 700 series P32AC-DM for the rest of the trip to NYC.
