Five railroads serve Utica NY: Adirondack Scenic, Amtrak, CSX, Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern and New York, Susquehanna & Western.

This video features glimpses of the MA&N and NYS&W this rainy and chilly morning.

The short MA&N train, powered by ALCo No. 2453, is seen just west of Utica on the CSX main. MA&N has trackage rights over CSX Utica-Rome (approx 13 miles).

Next, the NYS&W is observed heading south on Utica's Schuyler Street.
