The Most Patriotic Paint Scheme
Author: Ohiorailfan

Took a trip to Florida this past week to see a couple Florida Gulf and Atlantic trains. The FGAR runs over CSX's Ex Tallahassee line between Pensacola and Baldwin, FL and as of now has 4 units painted in Rail USA's attractive flag scheme. We found the Lake City to Baldwin turn on Monday with freshly painted SD40-2 #8143 leading east. I am a huge fan of this scheme and was a sight to see up close. The Grenada railroad in MS also has units painted like this. We also caught their unique HLCX unit leading a train on Sunday but that's for another post. Enjoy!

The speed for the line is 40 allowing for a challenging chase, but on this day there was a sperry down the line which slowed things down quite a bit

The line still has all the old signals in service one of which is at Olustee, FL
