This morning, the Decatur & Eastern Illinois RR ran the two Decatur Yard geeps light engine east out of Decatur. Shortly after, they came back west to town with the 101 road train in tow. The road train crew must have run out of hours somewhere around Casner (just a few miles outside Decatur) last night, resulting in the yard job coming to the rescue. Pretty good sized train this morning with 53 cars in tow. (Train lengths vary between 20 and 60 cars normally)

With 5 SD-40s on the roster now, the road train normally runs with 2 SDs, so it was a nice catch to see 4 units hauling this train into town.
