Station Inn - Cresson PA
Author: MEKoch

Wednesday Afternoon (24th) we stayed overnight at the Station Inn.  They are back in business.  We were the only guests.   Dr. Tom Davis, now 89 years old, greeted us in the evening.  He is infirm, and has a caretaker.

The next morning from the front porch, here is a picture of an eastbound train climbing the grade to Gallitzin.  (unable to rotate pic - thanks for your help)

So glad they are open.  They weren't when we called a while back.  We were wanting to include them on the next railfan trip in July.  The "front porch" in June 2017!

I was a little concerned, especially giving Tom's health, as I have had a reservation for August since last year. I've been going there since 2004 and even thou I've seen alot of changes most recently, the hospitality of the Station Inn can't be beat.
