OTD, I gave fellow TO'er Theowhitey a whirlwind tour of the rail lines that cross from Maryland into Pennsylvania and other RR attractions in the Cumberland Valley.

First was Maryland Midland's UBHF pulling the 10 mile grade from Thurmont to Highfield, MD.
1. Crossing Foxville-Deerfield Road at Lantz, MD. westbound as the 2 SDs and 1 GP work hard on the 1.82 to 1.93% grades.
2. Through the farm fields of Harbaugh Valley between Lantz and Sabillasville, MD.
3. Approaching Old FT. Ritchie Rd. at the start of the Sabillasville Horseshoe Curve, which has become very overgrown in recent years.

CSX D795 from Hanover, PA. to Hagerstown, MD. waits at Highfield, MD. for Maryland Midland's train.
After interchange of cars, D795 drifts west.

At Possum Hollow Rd. just south of Shippensburg, PA., NS 201 rolls past Wenger Feed Mills, one of NS's larger customers on the Lurgan Sub.
Later NS 202 approaches Station Rd. in Longsdorf, Pa., between Shippensburg and MT. Holly Springs.
