Nice cooling picture.  We haven't had much of a winter in a few years in the mid-Atlantic, and with this summer being hotter than recent ones and more along the lines of what I recall in my younger days it always makes me wonder if it will translate into a winter like we used to get.

Could be. Here in eastern PA we didn’t have much of a winter at all during the 97-98 and 98-99 seasons and the summers were fairly mild. Then the summer of 99 hit and felt a lot like this, followed by a pretty decent bunch of snowstorms for the 99-00 winter. We’re due for that type of pattern again.

That said, I’ll take hot and humid any day over cold. I don’t mind one or two good snows as long as they’re not too bad to clear.

Love it!  Bring on Fall and Winter.

Here in Palmer Lake, CO, first snow last year in SEPT last snow this year in JUNE! Way too long of a Winter for THIS former Souther Californian. Personally, I can wait a bit longer.
