Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS Lehigh Line on Aug. 1st, 2020Date: 08/07/20 11:47 NS Lehigh Line on Aug. 1st, 2020 Author: PennRailVideos This past Saturday, I ventured out to the NS Lehigh Line in Joisey to catch the NS Local H76 coming back west (and to see a few other trains).
First, NS 211 heads west at Landsdown, NJ. Then we moved to Annandale to catch the next eastbound which I can't remember the symbol of. Then the prize of the afternoon was getting the NS H76 coming west at Landsdown with GP40-2 #3029 (blt for CR) and GP38-2 5222 (blt for SOU). A neat thing about this train for being a local, is the cut of intermodal cars on the front. I guess they were set out somewhere for a defect and these guys picked them up. Anyway, that was a hot summer Saturday along the former Lehigh Valley. - Adam C, Date: 08/07/20 11:57 Re: NS Lehigh Line on Aug. 1st, 2020 Author: pal77 Cool catch with the I cars on the local. H76 is one of my favs on this line almost always has standard cab 2nd gen units lots of times SD40-2's and the train has been running long lately seen it as much as 50cars love the sound of the old EMD's working hard up the hill.
