Eastern Railroad Discussion > Pan Am's new Guilford "Heritage" unit on BO-1Date: 08/07/20 12:36 Pan Am's new Guilford "Heritage" unit on BO-1 Author: chrisbutts For whatever reason, MEC 507 was released from the Waterville paint shop less than a week ago in Guilford paint, repainted from Pan Am blue. It ended up in Boston Tuesday night, working the BO-1 local on Wednesday the 5th. That meant there was a very good chance it would be on the local to Peabody on Thursday, and it was. Fun chase with a lot of people out. Rousselot in Peabody makes gelatine (former Eastman Kodak plant), and receives bone meal and hydrochloric acid by rail. They are the last freight customer here on the North Shore of MA.
First three shots of BO-1 rearranging its cars at North Street Yard in Salem (putting the hydrochloric acid cars on the rear of the train for spotting at the plant); the next two are of the local going through Peabody Square.
