Friday on the "Foreign Power Funnel"
We were treated with a couple of east bound stack trains this Friday morning with foreign power leading for a change. So far this year it seams that its more often then not that these West Coast and Dallas origin trains will have NS power leading. Not the case this day as I managed to catch three stacks with something other than black NS Thoroughbreds on the point.

On the NS Alabama East End District Birmingham to Atlanta

#1. With the sun having cleared the tree tops in downtown Temple running on the main line at MP 676.9 with the KCS #4760 NS#9574 & NS #1069 leading NS 220 Meridian, MS (KCS IDAAT)- Atlanta, GA. A Good many TOFC's on today's train.

#2. With three Uncle Pete units and 96 loaded wells NS 226 Shreveport, LA (UP ZLCAI / KCS IZLCAI) - Atlanta, GA runs east bound just past the signals at CP Temple MP 677.5

 ..more to follow...

#3. The Mexican Taco with loaded wells originating in Monterrey Mexico, NS 24E Meridian, MS (KCS IMYNS / IDAAT2) - Atlanta, GA finds NS #1801 SD70ACC leading this east bound stack through Temple Georgia. Thinking the power on this train may have been applied at the KCS Wylie Texas yard.

#4. With west bound NS A25 Douglasville,Ga Local holding the siding NS 24E rolls east.

Thanks for stopping by and always be safe when out track side!!!

Just the name I gave the 24E as it currently originates on the KCS from Monterrey Mexico with a symbol IMYNS.
Mostly international containers and makes for a colorful train.

Nice catches Phil. I was hoping the power from either one of 220 or 24E would get onto 238 at Inman. But it was not meant to be...
