A few pics from roadside of retired NS power at the Cresson Steel scrapyard this weekend.These standard cab GE's have been sitting in this yard for a few years now..Pics 1 through 3....Dave W.

Pic 5...An NS C48 crew takes a light SD70ACu power move West through Cassandra headed to South Fork this morning...SD70ACu's have replaced SD80MACS in the South Fork Pool...An Eastbound 20W approaches on Track 1...Dave W.

Pics 8 through 10...

A 21,000 ton monster NS 12G kicked into emergency and broke a knuckle at Mineral Point, MP268 this morning, which took a couple of hours to sort out.

The 12G is seen afterward climbing the West Slope grade through Cassandra this afternoon, with the NS Wabash Heritage unit as Mid-train DPU and an SD70ACu helper set on the rear...Dave W

Yes...a GE 44 tonner....I will have to try for a better shot of it for a future post...Dave W

Road construction was completed roughly a week ago......Road is reopened....Detour through Lilly is no longer necessary....Dave W.
