Does anyone know where the Class 1 Railroads are storing power? Are the locos visible from public property? TIA, Steve Steve Andrews Ames, IA Steve Andrews Ames, IA Date: 10/18/20 07:26 Re: Stored Locomotive Sites Author: Lackawanna484 Two years ago BNSF had miles of power stored in Gillette WY.

Posted from Android Date: 10/20/20 23:05 Re: Stored Locomotive Sites Author: crazy_train_999 As of a few weeks ago, there were tons of UP units in Kansas City, MO (Neff Yard) and a bunch a bit west of Kansas City in Topeka, KS. Earlier this year, there were also some in storage on a siding north of Pine Bluff, AR (don't remember exactly where).
BNSF recently had a bunch at Murray Yard in North Kansas City, MO, and also a bunch in Galveston, TX earlier this year. Probably a bunch of stored units at Topeka Shops, but I can't confirm that at the moment. There are even some big PRLX lease units (former BNSF, including a few warbonnets, if I recall correctly) in storage in Fort Smith, AR in what I believe to be Arkansas & Missouri's yard.
