Eastern Railroad Discussion > The L&C in transitionDate: 10/26/20 08:48 The L&C in transition Author: EL833 Paid a visit to the Lancaster and Chester RR on my southern swing the other week. Although not being much to look at, I was hoping to catch the pair of "new" former CSX/CR SD60M's running before they receive the G&O colors. Caught up with the 8770/8782 pair working some industries around Richburg, SC on 10-22-2020. After that chore was finished they ran lite to Fort Lawn to grab the prior day's freight train that had the L&C painted 6002/9146 duo. That made for a nice "transition era" locomotive consist with the two 60M's and the two blues. As luck would have it, they switched the power around while working Jones-Hamilton making the 6002 set the leader for the remainder of the run. I was happy to catch the blue set leading as that 6002/9146 set has been in and out of storage lately.

Bob Date: 10/26/20 09:40 Re: The L&C in transition Author: stevelv Great bunch Roger. You got some excellent light too. It seems half the time I go after shortlines the trains are running right out of the sun. I guess I just have to be more thorough with my research.
