Mixed Manifest Dodging Amtrak and VRE

Sunrise in Fredericksburg, VA finds CSX 5454(GE ES40DC) holding for a signal in anticipation of an oncoming passenger train. This long, slow northbound mixed manifest from Acca Yard in Richmond has reached the Rappahannock River but must pause as the dispatcher finds it a slot while accommodating the morning’s Amtrak and Virginia Railway Express schedules.
