A farily  new CSXT CM44AC number 7233  leads  a  15,000  Ft long  17,000  Ton  Q161   west  at Fostoria ohio with a Mid train  DP   on 11/14/20

I take it they were all empties, with only 2 units and 15,000 ft of train.

17,000 tons is definitely not all empties.

There's a lot of faith putting that much stress on each single little coupler pin!

That's a lot of train for just two units even if they were distributed. That says a lot about the equipment, the crew and what I assume to be very flat terrain.

It also says that CSX and others do not care about delayed trains due to failed couplers, air hoses parting, etc.   They shrug off such delays (even to Amtrak).  And the managers congratulate themselves for fewer "crew starts."
