Pure MEC Power on 16R - D&H Land
Author: train1275

Thursday November 19, 2020
On this date in 1863 Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address.
In 1969 Pete Conrad and Alan Bean land the Lunar Module "Intrepid" on the moon as part of the Apollo 12 mission.

And today ......  it was a pure set of Maine Central GE's on the 16R at the last light of day approaching Otego, NY.
Rather unusual and just a grab shot, but posted here for your viewing edification.

Power was MEC 7541, 7528, 7643. A rather motley and homely looking consist to say the least.

It seems to me that there has been a lot more Pan Am foreign power recently. Hope some comes down here to Virginia!

I'm sure CSX sucked the life out of those units before they let them go. They are probably pure junk now, and yes, they would look sharp in MEC colors!

They'd even look better in primer.
