Eastern Railroad Discussion > Little Blue Containers?

Yesterday I saw a container train on the old Wabash in Fort Wayne, Indiana from a distance. Some of the flats had little blue containers on them much smaller than standard containers. What are they?

They are passenger cars for martians that are carrying little blue men.

or 20' trash containers.

And maybe headed for the NS in Fostoria to handed over to the C&O/CSX to the trash site east of Fostoria.

I don't know where the blue aliens come from but the ones from Mars are the little green ones! :^)

A little over a year ago, I was at Point of Rocks and a saw several trains that had quite a few cars carrying small blue containers. I was wondering the same thing. When I reached out on TO, I was told that they contained some form of ash.

Are the containers in my photo similar to what you saw?

The ones I saw were even smaller, double-stacked, maybe eight to a flat?  And they were a dark blue. I think they were headed for Bruce Frieden's house (see his remark above) so all his plastic cars and locos could be dumped and taken to the land fill...

Sounds like the contaminated dirt containers, much like the the gray EPIC ones only in blue. Different owner perhaps.

Those are ash.  Get added to the Q370 at Brunswick at set out at Acca Yard in Richmond.  They're then unloaded at a ramp in Fulton Yard.
