I decided to check out the 2020 Santa Train to see how they were going to distribute the gifts.  Instead of traveling the length of the Clinchfield RR from Shelbiana KY to Kingsport TN, this year Food City (one of the sponsors) held events at 4 of their locations.
Gifts were given out at Food City locations in Shelbiana KY, Clintwood VA, St. Paul VA, and Weber City VA between 8 and 10 am.  They were set up as drive thru to minimize contact.  Santa's elves were handing out gifts.
Sponsors of the Sants Train are: CSX, Food City, Appalachain Power, Soles4Soles, and the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce.
I wandered up to Weber City Food City this morning to see how things were going.  There was a steady steam of cars coming through the line picking up gifts.
Hopefully next year things will get back to normal.  It's more fun to see the Train!
