CSX in the Mountains
Author: regmacSC

With noticing a little more traffic on the Blue Ridge and the speed limits being raised back, decided to go and play near the mountains of NC.   Couple of shots from the CSX Blue Ridge Subdivision; better known as the Clinchfield.

Shot 1:
CSX K477 near Rutherfordton, NC with ethanol for Charlotte, C.
Shot 2:
CSX Q693 coming down the main at Thermal, NC.

Really nice photos, thanks.

Are the speeds back to where they were before the line's semi-embargo, and are the signals re-activated or is it still "dark"?

Don't think quite the speed before the embargo, but 35-40 in a lot of areas and the signals are active.

Great photos! I especially like the second shot; the mountains almost look like they are created, using some form of paint.
