West Chester Railroad Santa Express
Author: eastpenn23

The West Chester Railroad ran their Santa Express over the weekend with their GP38 in the lead. This line is an ex-Septa line

1 - Glen Mills, wish that pizza sign wasn't there
2 - Cheney station
3 - West Chester yard

I wish they could obtain one MP54 fron either Wilmington & Western or Catskill Mountain to have one car that is indigenous to that branch.

So a little photo shop can take care of the Pizza Banner!
It was a great photo anyway! Thanks for posting the series.
Anyone know if they still have the switcher from PECO with the strangely modified cab? PECO ran it through their Cromby coal dumper and wrecked the original cab. When they shut down Cromby they donated the engine to W.C. PECO also had a GE center cab, anyone know whrere that went?
I guess once SEPTA completes the Wawa extension and if the West Chester line from Glen Mills to Wawa is capable, perhaps West Chester could lease a loco to SEPTA for the leaf scrubber trains again.
Go

The 7706 was at Cromby before the West Chester RR. ----------Ken
