Out of all 20, this one is the only one actually tracked by me. My wife can even attest to this. Michael Fair Royal Oak, MI Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/23/20 23:05 by bath_wildcat. I didn't go back to look for 237 last night, but assume you're right. Just don't know how many days it will take... 238 is now nothing more than a glorified long distance local. What used to take 2 crews to get from Inman to Charlestton now sometimes takes 4 crews. We used to be able to rely on seeing 238 in CHS between 10AM and 1 PM, now it's getting in after 8 PM. Stacks up front leaving Austell (previously Inman), manifest on the rear (picked up someplace in GA). Switching in Greenville, and sometimes Hayne. I saw it in Monday in Greenville around 9 AM, didn't catch it leaving until about 1 PM (when it should have been in CHS!). And presumably it had a PSR pickup in Columbia too. The recent NS decisions are starting to remind me of the early Conrail era "management" around 1977... |
