40 degrees and 21 minutes later, P60 on the loops
Author: Asheville_G

With temperatures hovering around 40 degrees on a crystal clear night in western North Carolina, Norfolk Southern train P60 negotiates the famous loops of the Southern Railway between Old Fort and Ridgecrest, NC.  The train enters the frame (middle left) at Coleman siding, and exits the frame (lower right) at Dendron, 21 minutes later.

21 minute exposure.

Not familiar with a P symbol. What kind of train is that?

Is that a highway in there also, or are all of the light trails from the train?

BTW, killer shot!

Mostly train, but Mill Creek road is also there.  Two cars passed in the 21 minutes.

Now that, is cool!  Just got done looking at Google satellite to get it all figured out.  Very neat!

Good job. Nice combination of daylight on the hills and time exposure.
