Conemaugh Coal at Cheswick
Author: JUTower

While awaiting a CN Bessemer Sub train (that I didn't end up seeing) I did managed to lens the NS 562 taking coal loads for the Keystone Generating Station at Shelocta PA behind SD70ACe 1169.  Shown here at Cheswick PA along the Allegheny River, with the Bessemer & Lake Erie's Allegheny Bridge in the background, along with the Pennsylvania Turnpike's bridge behind that.

I often find it helpful to check the PA Route 28 traffic cameras as occasionally they will tip me off to a coming eastbound long before I hear horns or scanner audio.

Enjoy!

Nice shot of a trainload of soon to be a nostalgic commodity!  As a side show, there is a great assortment of roof lines to be found!

Elevation makes this one a winner. If the other train showed, it would have been a great over and under.
