Efficient use of resources.  Thanks for posting, Greg!

Question:  Many of the trains through Folkston exceed 10,000 feet.  That works fine for the A-Line mainline with its abundance of double track and five-mile long sidings or the now double-tracked Callahan Subdivision.  North of Waycross on the Fitzgerald Subdivision or south of Baldwin on the Miami Subdivision, there is little double track and very few sidings that exceed 10,000 feet.  How are dispatchers managing this?

The dispatchers hold trains where they can.  For example a lot of northbounds get held at Hague for southbounds out of Waycross.  You hear the tem "Non-Clearing" being used a lot on the radio now.  Really a pain on the Jesup Sub north of Waycross due to shorter sidings.
