Gonna go with a LP (Low Pressure) Steam Turbine. The HP (High pressure) would attach to the left side hence the stencil "Turbine End" and the other side would be connected to a generator, Hence the "Generator End" stencil.

It's a high pressure steam turbine

Look how thick the case is at the split line, where the bolts are located

The relative small size of the load and a 12 axle car show how dense it is
