Eastern Railroad Discussion > End of PRR Position Light Signals in PittsburghDate: 01/14/21 18:41 End of PRR Position Light Signals in Pittsburgh Author: RuleG In September 2019, one the last vestiges of the Pennsylvania Railroad along its main line in Pittsburgh, the position light signals, was due to be replaced. I went out one night to take photos and videos of the signal at CP Solomon, located a bit over mile east of the Amtrak station in Pittsburgh. By the end of the month it, along with the other position light signals on this section of Norfolk Southern's Pittsburgh Line were gone.
Previously, I never took videos of railroad subjects, but made an exception in this case. This is my first try at uploading a video on Trainorders. Luckily I was also able to visit here a few times before the position signals were replaced.
