A Wintry Passage MAN Rome NY

This video, made this morning, features a short Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern freight twice crossing the Mohawk River, Rome NY.

After the first crossing, the crew spotted a coil car and then returned with the three bulkhead flats consigned to another customer in Rome.

Wow, haven't seen a train on that bridge in 10, maybe 15 years. Any pattern to when they run?  I assume you just hang out in Utica and wait?

Nothing by chance, always rely on thoughtfulness of others in shadowing this road.

No real pattern. Depends on needs of customer (Worthington Industries).

I doubt there are as many as a dozen combination rail/highway bridges in the entire country.
