Bob Date: 02/17/21 19:41 Re: Gritty vintage shop scene Author: Gonut1 Wow, what a contrast. Big brute of a diesel and dainty window awnings over Jalousie Windows. The Train Master has been my all time favorite diesel, since I received a Reading postcard with a picture on the front and specs on the back. I consider it a travesty that they were all scrapped or turned into slugs. I have a young son who is enamered with the Pennsy T-1 reproducution being built. I really hope they manage to get one built and working. That was without a doubt my favorite steam engine behind the almost common B&A or Nickle Plate Berkshire. Funny how all this goes around and comes around. The closest I ever came to a T-1 were the HO models sold by Penn Line back in the Fifties and Sixties.

The location, should be familiar to fans of 2 Eastern railroads, although a little artistic license has been added. Neither one ultimately bought Trainmasters. |
