G&U GU1 takes 3 cars of building supplies to BlueLinx building supplies distribution center near Forge Park MA on Friday 3/5/21.
Photo 1: GU1 bypasses the transload yard at Hopedale with its 3 cars at about 1045.
Photos 2 & 3: GU1 rumbles behind the Pinz bowlin alley at Milford and arrives at connection between G&U rails and the leased CSX Milford Secondary.

Photo 4: the 2 MP15s cut away from the consist and separate so the train can be topped & tailed for the reverse move onto the MIlford Secondary. 1160 will pull the consist down to Depot St crossing and then shove shove down to the new leader 1158.

On the Milford Secondary, GU1 crosses Hartford St at Bellingham - BlueLinx destination is about 2.5 miles away.

This makes good sense of why the new connection. There is traffic to be had. Good for them! Does Garelick Farms ship or receive by rail?

Garelick Farms has received covered hoppers of plastic material to fabricate milk bottles so I think G&U is still handling that traffic.

Best of luck to the G&U on their new line! I quite like how they ran the SW1500s on each end of the train.

Great Shots!!  Before restored trackage was in place, were industries along the line receiving rail freight
via Franklin commuter rail trackage??    Also, it's been nearly a hundred years since NH commuter
service visited Bellingham Junction via the Charles River Railroad.  Keep the photos coming!

Up until a month or so ago when the G&U lease became effective, the 2 actively shipping industries at Forge Park, BlueLinx and Garelick Farms, were serviced weekly by a CSX local from Walpole via Franklin.
