Norfolk Southern OCS
Author: 1Train2Many

Hi, The Norfolk Southern Office Car Special went around Horseshoe Curve at 11:04:45 today (4/3/21).  Thanks to pt242.com for logging this!  Does anyone know what its destination is and if it will go through or around Harrisburg, PA?  Thank you in advance!

Not sure of the route, other than my understanding is that it was going west with the NS 1212 on the point, eventually, after a helper[s?] took it around the loop at AR/UN. As far as a final destination, my guess would be Augusta, Ga. with The Masters being held next week.

Here it is at Gallitzin 10 minutes ago.   Did they really attach a helper for this train?   It cut off and the train went around the curve.  I thought maybe they were going to take the wye and go back down the hill, but I did not chase it

Posted from cell phone. No idea why they post this way, nor how to straighten it up. I even converted to the desktop view on my phone before posting thinking that would work.

You need to go into the editing software and rotate
90 degrees.  One nice thing about TO's, you can
actually go to "edit" your post and simply replace
the photo.  Oddly, for better or worse, it won't say
"edited" when you are done.

Fixed with a couple of clicks in Photoshop Elements.

The photo is of SD70ACU NS 7253 with the C20 helper crew aboard. The OCS (NS symbol 947) was pulled backwards from Altoona to Gallitzin by C20 going up the east slope on track 1 to AR. Here we see C20 as they cut away from the OCS after traversing the wye track between AR and UN to track 2. Glad someone was able to catch it!

All if not most photo editing software will rotate photos. Also your phone or camera settings can be changed to rotate your photos properly.
