My first attempt at a long exposure
Author: Shortline614

I recently went on a big railfanning trip to Georgia with two friends. We hit all the big spots. Folkston, Waycross, Cordele, eventually working our way up to Chattanooga and the TVRM. I took many pictures on this trip, but this is my favorite. This is my first attempt at a long exposure photo and I think it came out great! Any feedback is appreciated. There is a much bigger story behind these photos, and maybe I'll post it here later.

A pair of intermediate signals guard this control point, located on top of a mountain. It's very beautiful up here, especially during sunset. You can hear the trains for miles around.

Great results, those red signals really stand out after dark...

Nice pics. What camera and lens did you use. What settings did you usw? It's too bad there wasn't a clear signal. that would have been really neat.

Nice work! Try experimenting with different exposure times!

I like the reflection of the signal lights off the rail in photo #2.
