Interesting power on the NRFF today
Author: dschlegel

I took a drive this afternoon to Port Clinton, PA to catch the NRFF. The Reading and Northern must have recently acquired the lead and trailing units as they aren't in R&N colors yet. Video was taken at 2:39PM. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing your video of the Reading & Northern Railroad.  They continue to operate a very successful railroad and they please their customers.  Just look at all the box cars they haul.

I know that R&N can't help it, but just imagine how neat the train consist, especially the block of Cryo-Trans cars, would look without all the graffiti.

I didn't see any engines in the reefer's body to create refrigeration and certainly no hatches on top for ice. Do they use dry ice to keep the cars refrigerated?

No dry ice. The cars appear to be insulated box cars probably for wine or beer.
