EMDs Roaring in Run 8 at Kenova, WV

Hard to believe it has been six years since I took this video. Seems like it was only yesterday.

On a warm spring evening, CSX eastbound mixed freight train Q316 is seen making its way through the town of Kenova, West Virginia along the former Chesapeake and Ohio mainline. The train has just crossed the border into West Virginia and due to a slight grade for eastbounds, the locomotive consist works hard to get its train over that grade with the loudest locomotives being the EMD SD70MAC and the leased EMD SD40M-2.
