Newly Repainted NKP GP30s Bound for Ohio Rail Experience Trips

The Ohio Rail Experience is kicking off their Autumn tour this weekend with public trips out of Leipsic & Lima Ohio. Power for these excursions will be freshly repainted GP30s, NKP/CRC 901 & 902. This is the first time both locomotives have run together in new, matching NKP paint since their early days on the Nickel Plate Road. I caught the deadhead move early this afternoon in Madisonville,Ohio. This is on the south end of the I&O Midland Subdivision. Tickets are likely still available for this weekend and next. The ORE will be running west out the Central Railroad of Indiana next weekend. All are invited to come ride, support the ORE, and enjoy the fresh paint of the NKP. https://www.ohiorailexperience.com/

That is pretty amazing to see them both back together sharing their NKP original colors.    They do look very good in those colors.

Nice pictures! Glad I went out and got 902 still in Great Miami colors on the Fireworks Dinner Train last month.
