Eastern Railroad Discussion > Yardlimits Forum done??

When I logged into the Yardlimits forum the other day the message "THE YARDLIMITS FORUM IS NOW CLOSED" came up on the screene.  Anyone have any idea or know what happened??  Kinda a shame and quite sudden if it is gone.

Probably too many officials posing as rank and file workers.

Facebook has kiilled a lot of legacy forums and this is it's latest....unless someone can revive it, it is indeed signed off. If it does get revived it would almost have to be user supported as the state of internet ads is a cesspool...and they could not charge enough for enlightened display ads.

It used to be a great forum for rails. But it died a slow death. I dont think I had visited it in 5-6 years. Honestly I'm surprised to learn it was still around recently.

Oldheads that could not retire.....seniority still counts!

Can someone point out some Facebook pages that are similar? Big problem is, you can't be anonymous on FB.

Those of us who were left did not use FB and never will....can suggest nothing.

Speak for yourself. Facebook is what you make of it. There are a lot of awesome groups there. Even some groups for rail labor.

I will miss Yardlimits. It was full of some very knowledgeable people.

I will miss Yardlimits.  It was informative and real.  A few of the posts bore my name.  My Brothers who started it and kept it going deserve credit, and they have my thanks.
