Here are a few screen captures of the United Arab Emirates' Etihad Rail export SD70ACS (?) passing east through Roanoke just before dawn on Sunday 112121 on NS train 234 (I think) headed for Norfolk.

Thanks for the report.

The two empty scrap cars cars from the November 5 derailment are still there, adding to the ambiance of Hotel Roanoke visitors........

Scuttlebutt has the engineer being blamed for "train handling" in the derailment.

It is standard practice to blame the crew when no none who is truly reponsible will step up....things like badly built train (yardmaster or perhaps service design) bad track (MOW) or some locomitive malfunction that affected train handling(mechanical department) I assure that the chances are less than 25% that the crew is actually to blame considering that dilpidated tracks and junk engines and cars we a made to work with....if anything that crew are heroes for not killing anyone!
